Reliable Blower Systems for Explosive Gases: ATEX Compliant from VPT
For ATEX applications, VPT also supplies compact blowers for pressure boosting.
Thanks to their ATEX compliance for Zone 1 (Category 2G) and Zone 2 (Category 3G) according to EU Directive 94/9/EC, blowers and exhausters are suitable for use in conveying and compressing:
- Biogas
- Sewage or Digester Gas
- Landfill Gas
- Natural Gas
- Carbon Dioxide (CO2)
suitable.
The pulsation-free and oil-free gas flow of the smooth-running and low-maintenance centrifugal blowers is ideally suited for conveying gases for energy generation.
Volume flows from 200-20,000 m³/h can be covered. The safety housings and anti-static V-belts required for explosion-proof areas are part of the basic equipment. Other essential blower components include: vacuum-impregnated housings and integrated shaft seals to prevent possible gas leakage.
The importance of safety and reliability is particularly crucial in systems handling explosive, toxic, corrosive, and flammable gases and air & gas mixtures. Therefore, during the development of our products, we have considered and integrated numerous safety features in design and construction specifically for use in ATEX areas. This has resulted in a technically sealed design that prevents the escape of gases and gas mixtures.
